The job
As General Manager, together with your team, you will set the dreams and the vision and oversee entire country organization and be responsible for developing strategic and operational plans to ensure that both short- and long-term business objectives for the organization are met or exceeded and to build an organization that meet future challenges.
You will lead by example and drive the affiliate together with your 400 dedicated colleagues and be member of the management team of LATAM and report to the Senior Vice President of LATAM.
The market potential is huge, and your main role is to meet the growing need of treating chronical diseases, that Novo Nordisk is committed to defeat.
You are expected to build and strengthen local relationship and act as a corporate citizen in Brazil through positive relationship with external parties, authorities, industry, customers, and suppliers, to enhance the corporate image and making Novo Nordisk Brazil the preferred partner.
We expect our general manager to always ensure compliance at all level; In accordance with Novo Nordisk WAY and our Business Ethics. To comply with applicable laws, and all policies within the area of responsibility, internally as well as externally.
The position is placed in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role we expect you to come with a relevant degree in science and/or business with at least 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or health related industry hereof minimum 3 years of experiences as a General Manager from a large or medium sized pharma or health care related affiliate. A general manager who navigates seamlessly in the complexity of an affiliate of a global company and has experience from Latin America or Brazilian healthcare market, is an advantage.
Most importantly; We are looking for a General Manager who takes people to the heart, value collaboration, Walks the Talk and lives and breathes compliance and ethics. Furthermore, we look out for an ambitious, yet humble ‘can-do’ attitude, a spirit of innovation, and good communications skills. Fluency in spoken and written English are required and Portuguese or Spanish language are highly desired.
